who we ARe

Welcome!

We are Benedetta and Sara, two professional tour guides in love with art, history and food traditions.

After working almost 20 year in tourism, we have decided to organize the authentic Art And Food Tours sharing with guests our passion for the italian cultural heritage and the old food recipes

Sara

Welcoming, friendly, smiling: I’m an enthusiastic tour guide in love with my job and my country.

Born and raised in Romagna, in a village on the hills surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, I grew immersed in history thanks to the amazong Florentine style buildings and fortifications that have always carried me through time.

I graduated naturally in art history and became a professional tourist guide passionate about the artistic heritage and the food traditions of my home land.

After spending many years abroad, it's been seven years that I live in the medieval heart of Bologna, a town that surprises me every day for the extraordinary richness in art and food masterpieces

Four great passions all along my life: art history, pasta, vintage style and cats.

I became a licensed guide in 2017 and have never stopped loving this job ever since! Human warmth and empathy are very important to me, as well as irony and curiosity.

I like to travel, so much that I ended up graduating in France; then I came back to Bologna, where I have my roots and my affections.

From my family I learned a love for history, storytelling and food. I loved listening to the countryside stories and the war memories that my grandparents told me when I was a child.

I love talking and interacting with people a lot, but I'm a quiet type: I like snow, reading, tea with biscuits.

I have a tattoo with a Swedish inscription that reads: "jag är rädd för allt, beredd på allt". It means "I'm afraid of everything, ready for anything".

I'm a title. Click here to add your own text and edit me.

FULLY EXPERIENCE GUIDES

Knowledgeable, passionate, smiling and welcoming Italian-born and bred tourist guides!

We operate as fully licensed and professional Italian tourist guides since 2004. We both hold a university degree in Humanities and Classical Studies (art history, history, archeology, Italian literature) and we attend seminars and training in food & beverage and art history on a regular basis/on a yearly basis.

When travelling and visiting foreign countries for leisure, it is really important to rely on (and support!) professional and accredited guides, who have studied to obtain the sector license and to do this job at the highest possible standards – and who also hold professional insurance and pay taxes for their work.

Remember that in Italy taking guided tours without the official regional guiding license is illegal!

Come to Italy and enjoy the Art & Food tours with professional tourist guides in love with their country, passionate about their work and eager to help you experience these beautiful Italian cities by sharing their culture, heritage, traditions and lifestyle!
